The mission of the Mid-America College Health Association (MACHA) is to provide networking, educational opportunities, support and advocacy for a diverse group of professionals who provide health care and promote disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices for college and university populations. In doing so, the MACHA members are integral to the academic mission of their institutions and play a vital role in the well-being of society.


The Mid-America College Health Association is an affiliate of the American College Health Association. Membership in MACHA is automatic when you become an individual member of ACHA and your membership address is located in Illinois; Indiana; Kentucky; Michigan; or Ontario, Canada.

Congratulations to New MACHA Board Members – February 21, 2018

Congratulations to the winners of the recent MACHA elections! We are excited to welcome Ta-Kisha Jones and Diane Stephenson to the MACHA Board of Directors. Vice President: Ta-Kisha Jones, MBA, CHES, CHWC Ta-Kisha Jones is the Assistant Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives in the Office of Health and Wellness at IUPUI, Indiana. She attended East Carolina University as an undergraduate, where she was a Residential Advisor (RA) and Student Liaison for the Center for Family Violence Prevention for two years, and an active Peer Educator in Healthy P.I.R.A.T.E.S. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Education & Promotion, with a concentration in Community Health.
